Draenog Y Môr | Sea Bass Oven Glove

In 2013 Jane moved to the island of Anglesey off the North West Coast of Wales. Her studio looks out across the Menai Strait to the mountains of Eryri. From here she creates her prints. She sources many of her marine specimens from local fishermen and gathers shells and botanical specimens on her walks locally.

Description

To create this design, I've used one of my Gyotaku prints and worked on it digitally along with some water colour to come up with the design. The oven glove also has my Hanko on it, this is a Japanese stamp of my name. It also has the Welsh for Sea Bass - Draenog Y Môr; which literally translates as 'Hedgehog of the Sea'

The oven glove has a toweling finish on the inside and is quilted, it's made of 100% Panama Cotton and is Natural not bleached. The design is digitally printed onto the oven glove.
